The idea of the 10 minute tests is great as it focuses the children's mind for a short time which can be difficult as the school closure continues. I would suggest the answers being in a separate booklet as we have found there is a temptation to cheat.

Times Tables Colouring Book 2 (Ages 7-11)
Children love the colouring times table puzzles - just times (no division). Really pleased with exam-ninja - brand new books delivered quickly. Bought 2 on Amazon - old, tatty double the price and took longer to come - despite joining Prime thinking they'd come quicker!! Amazon account hacked a couple of weeks later £800 spent on my credit card! Will avoid Amazon and use smaller companies like Ninja!!

This is an information book about the geography of the UK. It has helped understanding for my year 6 child immensely. I would give it 5* but I felt it could have abit more detail on places like the Lake District etc.

Excellent resource to support phonics learning. Its linked to the letters and sounds phases and sounds and skills are developed as you work through. I have a 5yo who is very secure with the phonics she has learnt at school and is keen to continue developing her skills while she's learning at home. This book allows us to practice a good mix of skills (blending, segmenting, tricky words, sentence building, new sounds etc) and is working really well for us alongside more game based resources like the phonics play website.

I am currently home learning with a autumn born 5yo girl. She's very secure with Reception maths concepts and is keen on formal, recorded activities alongside more play based learning. I was looking for something to support that as she prepares for year 1. Lots of the books on the market seem aimed either too low (at preschool level) or too high (at key stage 1 level). This book is aimed just right. There's a good mix of activities and the main learning focuses for reception and early year 1 maths are covered. The labelling is odd - Reception is Foundation Stage, not Key Stage 1 but I'll forgive it that because the pitching is the best I've found.
